Chill ZoneThe William & Margaret Lydiatt Award recognizes a student from a participating College who has demonstrated exceptional spirit in the weeks leading up to the OCMC.
Prior to the competition, each college should select a recipient of the Award. Determination of the recipient might include the following:
- A student who supports others on the team and works exceptionally hard.
- A student who puts the value and spirit of the competition by supporting others on the team, working hard and fostering growth in others.
- A student who demonstrates commitment to the OCMC by such actions as recruiting others, working to promote or raise funds for the team or other actions.
- A student who has overcome extraordinary adversity to get to the competition and who, by their example, inspires others.
Each College should notify David Nowell at Sheridan College of their selection via e-mail at david.nowell@sheridanc.on.ca no later than Thursday November 6, 2008. Those who do not submit a selection by that date will not be acknowledged at the event. The recipient will be called to the stage during the awards banquet to receive a specially-designed trophy which they will keep for one year.
